Mirages , mɪrɑːʒ, noun: an optical illusion caused by atmospheric conditions, especially the appearance of a sheet of water in a desert caused by the refraction of light from the sky by heated air.
In our summer collection 'Mirages', desert hues meet nautical stripes and metallic accents as we embark on a reflection between fresh water scarcity in the world and water overconsumption in the fashion industry. Gender constraints are blurred as we present a range of unisex styles.
Our handwoven fabrics were carefully chosen for being fibres that require significantly less water to grow such as our silks and bamboos. This handwoven luxury is paired with up-cycled cottons, jerseys and linens from disregarded local factory deadstock. The offcuts of our garment production are then re-designed into a range of accessories, thus making 'Mirages' a zero waste collection.
With a careful study of our ecological impact, each item of this collection saves a significant volume of water compared to current industry standards. Save water, get GOOD KRAMA.
